What I hear it called most is just straight up imperialism. We conquer, subdue the 'barbarian people', set up a fake government, and administer some good old fashioned indirect control. It's a long standing Western tradition, W is just keeping the American end up. I wouldn't go as far as calling it Nazi, as the British and French did the same thing less than 100 years ago (early Iraq and Transjordan). They gave up, just showing our inability to learn lessons.
