Over 3 years ago I purchased a Monster-T, King headset and Ringle/Atomlab wheelset from this ass in Florida. Being young and foolish (overly trusting), I sent him money orders. After two months, he sent the fork...nothing else.
He actually had the nerve to write me and say that if I hadn't been bugging him about it, he would have sent it all. What a f**k. So I contact sheriff Roscoe P. Nimrod down in Deerfield Beach, but he was of little help. I filed complaints with the postal authority too, as the deal was done via mail, and thus constitutes mail fraud. I kept every email (still have copies of them today) from that facker.
Well anyways, I recently came across none other than Evan Balbier selling a demo 8 on MTBR. Spam this bastard to your hearts content...and if you know him, punch him in the face.

He's been trying to sell it on RM too.

So, this brings up the question.....Why did you wait three years to speak up about it here?

Yeah, exactly. The dude has been a member for 2.5 years and Evan has been for 2 years. Evan has sold a lot of stuff through this site. And the dude is just attacking him now? Sounds like maybe the dude is confused or has mistaken him for someone else.

uhhh no...the only reason I bring it up now is because I never saw his name anywhere else. Check the links I put up in the other threads...I am not the only one that has had trouble with him...

Check his join date, dude, it's tough to speak up about something in a forum that you aren't a member of.

After all is said and done, and you've accepted that you got the shaft, why would the first thing you post in a new forum be bad seller thread? When you've got no posting history and no credibility?

I'm not vouching for either side here, but I would have done exactly the same thing if a guy that screwed me once tried selling something in this forum. You don't log on and immediately post any past history you've had with bad sellers, but when a bad seller posts something new, you should absolutely say something.

Thanks for that Binary...you are right. Its not like I am on a crusade to pay back Evan Balbier...he ripped me off, and he ripped off other people too.
I just want to give my side of the story to keep him from doing it again. Why hasn't he spoken up yet???
Salami- Do you know Evan? How long have you known him? Did he used to work for e-diets? Did he used to have an orange and black RM7? You have chimed in to a couple of my threads, defending Evan, please explain...

I only met him a few times. The first time was March 2003. I remember talking to him about his Fly and riding it around. I remember bumping into him about a year ago at the trails riding the same Fly. I talked to him via Pm a few times about buying some parts he had for sale. I honestly don't know where he works/worked. Even though I only talked to him a few times he didn't strike me as the type that would do something like this.

I am usually a pretty good judge of character but I have been wrong a few times before.
