so if someone could direct me to a thread on boxxer maintenence or post up anything useful it would be cool (i have an 04 WC)

what can i use to lube the seals and what lubes/oil should i stock up on

I use triflow on the seals
most mx oils will work fine, just make sure they don't have swellers and that they are the right weight

you can use supsension oils available from MX shops
just make sure you get the correct weight.

Replace the oil every couple of months, lube the seals
with a little bit tri-flow or some sort of thicker grease
eg Judy butter or similar
and thats about it really,

Go to rock shox Sram website and DL the manual. Its very specific on how to and when to. What i do know offhand is that it should take about 20 minutes to change the oil. Give or take a few of coarse. Also that rockshox will Only warranty if you use original Weight oil<I belive its a 5 weight> and must be an approved oil. For the seals i have used everything from Triflow to Slick honey. But boxxers are nothing to be afraid of when opening them up. Also might suggest Buying yourself an Inch pound tourque wrench. Great 30 dollar investment that will save Lots of frustration on broken bolts.

think pedros lube would be ok for the seals?

I wanted to revive this as I have a quick question.

I'm in the process of replacing my seals and I have everything apart right now. I'm at the point where they say to lube the seal up with some Judy butter (which I don't have). Will any thicker grease do?

Not really.

Judy butter is not really a "thick" grease. Try to find some slick honey. It's a good one to use and a little easier to find.

That said, don't use a whole lot of it. It's basically just to help make a seal. The tri-flow thing is where you'll get the smoove.

thanks a bunch. i'll stop by LTD after work and see if they've got it.
