I'm glad the article mentioned how bouncing is BAD.

Anytime I see someone bounce it just makes me cringe.

when i raced xc running in highschool, we would always do a warm up run (something like a 10-15 min run) then do minimal streching, and i mean minimal for the main reason being that if you stretch too much before a race/sprint whatever you will start the tears in you muscles soon, which leads to fatigue in the long run
