Brand New 2004 XLT 2.0 for 399. I want to know anythig about the frame you can tell me and what you think of the deal.

and would it be worth an extra 100 to upgrade to the 05

they all break, usually near the drop out, even xc racers break them.

The 05 is worth the upgrade, they redesigned the chainstays to solve the breaking issues. I am an ex-expert DH racer that uses my XLT for XC/Trail riding and have had no problems, and I have rode it pretty hard.

do you know if the rear linkage is compatable. could i drop an 05 rear end onto an 04 front

Yeh you can put an 05 chainstay on an 04, they have done another redesign for 06 but im not sure about the compatability of it.
