Can axle clamp on dorado be removed from leg????

Hi,

Just wanted to know if the black CNC'd axle clamp (part 1 in the pic) on a 03 dorado be removed from leg (part 2 in the pic) ???? Is it screwed on, press fit, srewed with industrial strength loctite???

Anyone know??

i don't think you can and if it is possible it's not something you should try at home call manitou direct at 1-661-257-4411, they could tell ya for sure

Im in Australia, local guys don't know, and i am still waiting to hear back from manitou USA.

It will be coming off, it is not going back on so no need to worry about me riding along and the axle falling off :D

If it doesn't come off i'll be hitting it with a lathe but i am hoping it won't come to that. I was hoping i could hit it with a bit of heat and pop it off.

I believe Marz's are threaded on, manitou's might be different, but that would make sense to me. Give it a twist and see if it budges
