Shoe recommendations for Crank Bros Mallets

Looking for a flat type shoe that works well with the Mallets. I have been using Sidi racing type shoes cuz they clip in & out easily but they suck for walking on rocks, etc. I have a pair made by 661 but it is very hard to clip in & out. I tried cutting out some of the sole but it didn't help much.

The Shimano DX and Oakley radar shoes are pretty much the nicest...

run those black spacers that came with the peds under the cleats it should help allot
