Tried a new beer this weekend.

Hitachino Nest Beer. The White Ale.

And I honestly don't know how to describe it. It was good... like Smarties. May have to get a few more and try and find their other varieties.

Is that considered a white beer or is a white ale different? IMO white beers are gross.

"White ale" is "Wit" to us non-belgians. Typically 40%-50% unmalted wheat in the grain bill, and spiced. Orange peel, coriander, and clove seem to be most common spices in the whites I've had.
