Setting sag front and rear..

im familiar with setting sag and why you need to and what not on motorcycles, so thats not new to me, just need to know ideal sag #'s so i can get this thing more dialed. Its for a Bullit with Fox Vanilla RC 8.5x2.5

depends on use.

DH is 30% stroke of shock.

Trails is less.

I measure by eye to eye. Or by sliding the stopper to the beggining of stroke and guessing. I also just ride it and see how it feels.

20 to 30% of the stroke.

Most shocks don't recommend more than two turns on the preload. If you need more, then you probably need a stiffer spring.
