I took it to my lbs and they said that the rim could not be strightend. The hub is an xt 28hole. I cost 65 for a new rim and 1dollar per spoke to build a new one plus taxs total about $95. I dont know how much the rig cost to replace the whole thing he quoted something like $185 is that right?(i personally think he included the casset too but i'm not sure)
Which way should i go? going to do this in about two hours comments appreciated.

$185 seems a bit steep - as an example JensonUSA has a pair of 223's on XT disc hubs for $175. Personally, I would go with a Sun rim, much better bang for the buck. Mavics are over priced IMO. You can get a pre-built wheel for much less, but they won't be quite as nice or strong as a hand built wheel (if the builder is good).

If you build a whole new wheel, I would go for 32 spoke. 4 spokes save very little weight, but it will make a stronger wheel.

Just my $.02
