Visiting Wilksboro, NC

Does anyone know of any trails near Wilksboro, NC that I can go ride. My wife and I are going there this weekend for a baby shower. So, naturally I want to ride! I do alot of freeride, but will do XC if I have too.

Any info will help

i think the course is still there. It's a lot of fun.

Dark Mtn is at the Kerr Scott Dam, think its smack dab in the middle of WIlks. also check out http://brushymtncyclists.tripod.com/ (edited to correct one.) they have dir to it and other contact infos, Matt and Ellen Adams live up there. There is XC and a DH course too.

Here's the web address for our site. The club is hosting a road ride Saturday for Special Olympics but we'll probably be riding at Dark Mtn on Sunday. If you plan to be around on Sunday let me know & I can give you the grand tour. We have some awesome xc trails & the dh course is still open. However please note that the course isn't that extreme & a little bike works well on. :)
