Hey guys, I don't really know if this is a big problem or a minor problem but i would like to find out. I just bought a 05 Boxxer ride and the lower crown (the one that has the steer tube conected to it) is to short. My question is, Can i buy a new bottom crown with a uncut steer tube or am i screwed. Please reply, I am desperate to ride.

You can't stretch the steer tube or add to it so you're looking at buying a new crown/steerer assembly. Whether you buy it at go-ride or otherwise.

One item to note. If you buy a used lower crown that is pre-'05 you'll lose quite a bit of turning radius.

I don't know if it will be worth it, but down here in Australia there is a company that does any type of frame repair, frame mods, and make some accessories. One of their services is steerer extensions. They can structurally extend it if it has been cut down.
