The Chillhowee Fat tire Festival will be held Sep 24-25. The Chillhowee trail system is located off hwy 64, near Parksville lake (located about midway between Ducktown & Cleveland, TN). People will be arriving friday night & there will be a night ride both Friday & Saturday, as well as rides Saturday & a time-trial Sunday.

I have never been to the Festival, but the trails are in my backyard. Besides Chillhowee, you have the trails down at the Ocoee river (Tanasi trail system- 15 min from campground), as well as trails in the Cohutta (Iron Mountain & Sumac (30 min), Wendy Gap (40 min), Bear Creek & Mountain Town <1 hr). -Think singletrack...miles & miles of rollercoaster singletrack.
