oversized components?

hey i was wondering what do you guys think about oversized components do you think they are really worth it or just extra wieght.

I tend to ride better when I know I'm not going to break anything. I guess it just gives me more confidence. I'm willing to trade a little weight for some confidence, but you definitely have to know where to draw the line.
