I am trying to get my bearings out of my rocker plates on my banshee scream but I am not to sure what I should exactly do to get the bearings out. Is there any tools or spefic method that I should follow.

Have you tried contacting Banshee > http://www.bansheebikes.com/contact.html

They've always been quick(couple of days max) about getting back to me when I e-mail them.

Probably a vice or press and some large/small sized sockets should get them out pretty easy. I wouldn't go beating on anyting in fear of nicking or destorying a part. That's usually a last resort.

I've seen some neat little home made tools with washers and a threaded rod and such that you can use to press them in OR push them out. I think Santa Cruz sold a tool for the older V10's for bearing replacement that when it popped one out it replaced it with a new one on the back side and pushed it into place. Was pretty slick!

But if all else fails I'd call Banshee. That'd be your safest bet.

If you need to tap them out, make sure that you work your way in a circular pattern so that you do not oval out the bearing seats. And be gentle, don't force anything.
