Any good DH or Freeriding in the L.A. area?

Im from the D.C. area and im visiting L.A. for a week in august to see some family....id like to check out the local riding scene. Im wondering if its possible to rent a good dh bike somewhere and find people to ride with. PMs or any suggestions are welcome. thanks

I'm not to sure about rentals, but look me up when you get in. Can take you on the local tour if you find a bike.
