Hi guys,
Any of you could highlight me on which frame should I buy for my new bike build?
What are the pros and cons of bith frames?
I think chainline/chainguide/crankset options are very difficult to come by with the Demo 8, as I have seen in other posts.
So come on guys, I want advices.

Isn't one (M3) a pure race bike and the Demo8 a 'Black-saphire-jibber-hucker-froride" bike?

This is almost like a debate between Ferraris and Lamborghinis; fanboyism aside, both of these frames will haul ass down the hill if you let them.
The M3 will put the demo in a sleeper hold, but the Demo will tap out, climb to the top rope and body slam the bish ;)
They will both ride great. But there's more than that to think of.
Honestly CS/warranty differences make the decision easy: One has a lifetime warranty and a dept. that takes care of customers. One has a 2 year warranty and a warranty dept. that routinely drags their feet, forgets customers and just generally sucks.

get what you want, in the end its up to you, both frames will fly faster than you will take them so it doesnt matter

Maybe you can get this guy ^ to buy you an M3. He already built one up for his son, maybe if his bank account isn't completely drained, you could sweet talk him into getting you a frame.

reguardless which frame you go for, be sure to look into the mfg warranty. I believe Specialized offers a 5 year limited and intense, correct me if I am wrong, a 2 year warranty. Depending on how you ride, it might be an important part of the decision you make

Spesh actually has a lifetime on the front triangle...Pretty much the reason why I bought a Demo.
Both bikes are sick, choose your weapon.

I just broke the front triangle on my Demo8. I weigh 150lbs. The cold forged piece between the bottom bracket and the seat tube broke on one side, and cracked on the other side. I've only been riding it for a month, racing it and riding Whistler, Northstar and some local stuff.
I've never ridden an M3, but I owned an M1 for a long time, and I've ridden a lot of V10's. Neither bike is better than the other, both are true race frames. Get the M3 if you want a more nuetral bike that tracks really well at high speed, but is still pretty agile in the slow, techy and tight stuff. Get the Demo if you like to hop over stuff a lot, and want a far more agile and tight feeling ride. If you ride VERY aggressively, throwing the bike around things rather than simply monster trucking over them, the Demo will be right up your alley.
The Demo will feel a lot sketchier at high speeds compared to the M3, mostly due to the short stays. You can't pump the Demo too hard in fast and steep berms because the back end will want to wash out. Going into the corner, the steep head tube will allow you to set up a monster pump, but when you pull back as you exit the berm, the fork will extend, slacking out the head angle, compressing the rear shock, and place more weight on the back wheel. With all your weight on these short stays, things start to get a little touchy pretty quick. I only noticed this on big ole, man made berms at Whistler, and a couple tight slalom berms around here. The bike kills all other kinds of corners, even if they are on a super fast road/trail.
Which bike you get here really comes down to riding style and what the trails are like where you're from. Good luck!
