Need some help from the Oregonians

I might be going to Oregon State this winter and i was wondering how the riding is in or near corvallis? Is ther good FR, DH, or even XC? or am i going to be driving a lot to get any decent stuff?

Lots of fun XC [currently under seige by the po po] within riding distance of town. DH/FR are both within an hours drive.
