hey - I was headed on the 15 towards San Diego yesterday, and as I was passing through Rainbow, a tiny town around Temecula, I saw from the freeway what looked to be some pretty kickass DH trails. Is that what, in fact, they are? If so, has anyone ridden them?

Hmmm, you sure you weren't looking at fire roads?
What side of the freeway west or east.?

it was off to the left, heading west towards SD. They may have been fire roads. Regardless, the place does look like an awesome DH spot if someone could build some trails.

I am in San Diego a lot as well (I live in Los Angeles) because I drive a truck. I see a lot of stuff off to the sides of freeways all the time and think the same thing! I have found a few places that look pretty cool, but I guess I need to do more research on the WWW. I often have lay overs in SD and I wouldn't mind riding if I got the chance. There are some really cool looking places off the 52 (east) towards Santee.

Do not diss the avatar. anyways, Rainbow is hardly even a town, there is only supposed to be a few hundred people living there.

Found some nice (little) jumps/doubles off the 67 (I think) eastbound on the right hand side. between Santee and Lakeside. You can see 'em off the freeway.
