Okay monkeys, I know that there a few of you here that are riding the Surly Instigator. I'm thinking on getting the frame, but am stuck as to which of the two sizes to go with. Anything I'll be sessioning will be a healthy crank out to, so I want the balance of a good ride, with a do anything atitude.

What sizes are you all on? I'm 5'11" and heft in around 210-215 w/ gear. I haven't had the chance to try one out yet, so I'm wondering about the difference in feel b/w the 16" and 18" frames. Also what fork / tire combos are you running? I'll be setting it up with a double ring and bashguard..how do yours pedal?

Any input is much appreciated, as fund are tight, and I hate going into things sight unseen ;) .

according to the website...a 16" would be best for dual slalom, downhilling etc...and the 18" would be best suited for trail riding. I'm 5'11". I'd get the 16", it's just more fun. I ride a planet x.
