Hey, I have an '03 IronHorse SGS Pro. I'm sure at least a few of you have this bike, if you do, what'd you do to modify/make it better. Positive AND negative imporovements would be appreciated. Thanks.

Uh-oh...you're in for it.
At least gonna need the complete specs on the bike and your likes/desires.
Otherwise, you're in for a WORLD of smartass answers.

Dont swap out the Boxxer for a large food wrap tube, with a smaller, kitchen paper tube inside, which contains a succession of connected Biro springs. GHETTO!
They may be super bump sensitive, but long term reliability is questionable.

I don't mean to kill the mood here, but I do have a few serious suggestions. In my opinion the brakes are terrible on that bike. My friend has that bike and his HFX-9's have been nothing but trouble. He's got a new set of Juicy 5's on the way. The stem is a two bolt xc stem, that should definately go too. The Boxxer race isn't a great fork, but don't replace it unless its causing you problems.

On all seriousness...
*Drill and tap in a new screw for your derailleur hangar. The original screw is tiny and will rip out really easy.
*Grap a file and shave down the cylinder mast that mounts on the bottom of the shock on the linkages. Shave it down a few mm's on one end because it will allow for the bolt and linksages to pinch the cylinder, thus creating less flex.
You can upgrade the linkages also. The 2004 upgrade linkages and the upgraded rear end will fit on the 03 sgs. PM if you have questions
