Should my new forks click???

Ive just fitted a brand new set of Marzocchi all mountain 3 and give them a test drive. Instantly I noticed a click sound when the fork compress. Does anybody know if this normal

Try adding some preload to it. There might not be enough on there so the spring is a bit loose before the fork is compressed some.

theres plenty of preload in there. about 45 psi

What it could be is one of the spring hitting the inside of the stanction when it compresses. In my DH fork, when I have the fork in pieces, if I compresses the springs while they're on the spring rods attached to the dampers, the springs compress and then flex a little towards the outside.

If that clicking sound is too annoying and if you do find out it's the springs, get some shrink-tubing (for electric wiring) from HomeDepot and put some on at the spot where the spring bends outwards.
