04 Big Hit Comp rear shock clearance issues...?

New to the forums btw, ive been on pinkbike for a few years and decided to check this place out too. Seems pretty chill....

But anyways...
I ordered a 2005 Fox DHX 5.0 shock for my 2004 Big Hit Comp and was emailed back by the store saying they were unsure if the shock would fit due to clearance issues with the piggy back on the shock. Does anybody know if I could fit this shock without issues or even a Swinger 4 way or 6 way without issues? I emailed Specialized...they havent responded yet...

*****Not Mikedsx***** This is ZachTheMech again to lasy to change the name on this comp, Anyway, I have a 05 Bighit and i run a Swinger4way on it, whats gonna varie is what travel and headtube angle you want to run, depending on which will determine if the resevoir has to be out or in towards the frame. The easiest way to tell other then looking in the owners manual( mine has pictures for each shock location is to pop off the coil spring then put on the shock, then compress it and see if the res hits or not. I run the full 7.5 so my resevoir is out towards the rear tire and does not hit the linkage.

just get the shock, try different positions and see which fits best,
