I am looking for a bike to hit Mountin creek on, but im on a 2100 dollar budget. I was thinkng of the Transition Dirtbag off of adrenalinebikes.com, Kona stinky, and Banshee Morphine. I will also be hitten White Face MOuntain in New York. Most of my riding will be DH and some freeride. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? thanks.

I would say the BigHit too because I have one and it rocks, but the fork on it this year sucks.

I'd say steer clear of the Morphine and go with full suspension unless you like the idea of a hardtail. Full cush when DH riding makes you a lot less tired at the end of the day.

Consider one of the new Iron Horse bikes, like the Yakuza or 7point3, I hear their new bikes are good. Correct my names if I'm wrong, I'm not that familiar with IH.

I was also looking at the Norco VPS Six, for 2450, and was wondering if it was worth the extra coin, It doesnt look like the suspension set up with only 5-6 inch of travel and single crown fork could take downhilkl abuse. Also it is quite heave at 40.1 lbs.

i went to diablo yesterday don't go on narrow double black diamonds..thats one tip...i broke my hydraulic reserve..70 bucks but i got it for 40...bent my disc..fixed it..popped 2 tubes..(don't get tubeless) get motocross ahnd plates so you don't break levers and make ur front brake really loose or you fall 10 feet down a rock hill and break your thumb first run...the trails are good..
look into a fiath 3 better parts package then the stinky and i heard the stinky has a linkage package..just make sure if you do get the faith get softer springs...i am.
im me at habitatxskate if you have questions
p.s. dominion rules and so does alpine.

Also it is quite heave at 40.1 lbs.Of course it can take the abuse. It's 40 lbs, so it has some burly components. I say it's a very nice bike with quality components (Norcos are like that...). Ride one around and see if you like it. You could also look at one of their longer-travel bikes like the A-Line which is an amazing deal.

THe thing is, there arent any Norco dealers around me and the only way I could get one is to order it online.

Im not sure, I couldnt find any dealer locator for NJ and also, I think they are out of my price range anyway. Also Im 5'5 and still growing, if i were to get a Norco SIx what size would I be? I mean the reach for a Medium is like 23.5 inches, thats pretty long. They have 5 sizes so Im not really sure what size I would be.

I would get a dirt bag. dropnzone.com can build up a dirt bag pretty nice on a budget.

The Z150 is a great fork. It has a QR20 dropout, so a quick-release 20mm thru-axle.

If you went with any bike a medium would be good. You would probably grow out of a small and a large would only fit you well when you're 6' or up. I'm 6' and I can still ride medium frames fine even though my BigHit is a large.

look at the stinky, coiler, and/or big hit fsr. Those are all great bikes. Im actually going to buy the stinky or coiler within the next two days. So if anyone would recomend one it would be great.

What about buying something used....2100$ on the second hand market could buy you a decent ride...
