So - since N8 brought up GPA vs. Income vs. Political affiliation...we can do our own RM poll

Drat - well try and pick one...lol, I didn't mean it to be "american" only, but I know I don't really fit a liberal or conservative mold, so I figured if I chose political affiliations...poop - oh well, another thread to go into the junker...

0-80k is a HUGE spread isnt it? I know you were limited I am just saying. That is probably 65% of the entire workforce.

Ya - I know, but essentially the comment as I understood from N8 was that a)Dems don't earn much on average b) having a higher GPA doesn't equal higher pay in the end and c) he earns more than all of us combined. :)

But so far...no repubs have clicked on teh poll...so we'll never know, I wonder if I can edit it at this late stage and make the levels just "I'm a wealthy bastard" versus "I'm a poor bastard" :)

What if you didn't go to college?

Doh! I guess I'll check the smart option then!

How about an option for "didn't go to college, don't give a rat's ass about politics, and make a pretty good living".

I am neither a democrap nor republican't, I had a mediocre GPA in college but earned a degree, I am not weathly but am far from poor.

I guess I can't vote.

this just rehashes a bunch of old stuff, but as well know you can find statistics to support any claim. "Older money" tends to vote rep, "new money" tends to vote Dem. If you were really bored you could compare this map with distributions of wealth in the US.

I am a firm believer that being wealthy doesn't mean having all the money in the world, it just means having enough to not worry about it (support my future family, etc). The people who define their self-worth by their money and personal belongings are what we call "fake." Fyi, those people are all over Orange County; I grew up with them and unfortunately, I live with them now. Damn.

i was wondering that too... am 22, so not old enough to be 100% a "no-degree" person yet (will be as soon as i hit 25), and i make less than 80k a year, yet more than 15 times the average per capita around here...
and am quite liberal by US standards...

Hmm, no option that quite fits me either.

I have no political party, have two college degrees (about 3.0 GPA), and make well under 80k. Sorry that poll was worthless, I didnt fit in anywhere.

And thus we see the justification for your custom title.

Actually that would be RM's method for trumping my argument on the cleat fitting system.
