From air shock to coil

Is it possible to switch out an air shock with a coil shock if the eye to eye length is the same? I have an 03 trek liquid with the Fox Talas on the back and no matter how I adjust it, it feels like a pogo stick. Plus, Im a bigger rider and so a coil shock would bring more peace of mind. Is this possible?

It's possible with that frame. But why not just get the shock sent into PUSH (http://www.pushindustries.com/)?

i agree with jayridesacove, but in theory it would work... unless its got a piggyback and the bike doesnt have enough room to accomodate the piggyback.

I saw a pic of someone with a Trek Liquid with a Fox RC on it. Although, having an air shock that works would be nice and light. Send it to Push...that's what I'd do.
