Ok, we have the chicken marinade thread...how about a steak rub/marinade?

I think I will try this one soon.

Volatile Steak Marinade.

INGREDIENTS:

* 4 oz Jack Daniels Whiskey
* 3 TB Honey
* 3 Tb Worcestershire Sauce
* 1 tsp White pepper
* 1 TB Tabasco sauce
* 2 Garlic cloves minced
* 1 TB cinnamon ground
* 12 oz Guiness Stout
* 4 oz Peanut oil
* 3 tsp salt
* 2 oz Soy sauce

PREPARATION:
Start with a saucepan. Mix the Guiness Stout, the Jack Daniels & the oil. Add the Worcestershire & tabasco sauce. Bring to a slow boil & add the white pepper, garlic, salt, cinnamon, & honey. Mix well, turn off heat, and allow to cool to room temp. Use immediately or store in a glass jar in refrigerator for up to 1 week.

if the steak's a sirloin or tenderloin, i usually don't bother w/ a marinade as it's tender enough. but that sounds good for a flank steak or london broil. will definitely test it out.

Me too. I plan to try it on a london broil sometime soon. I was lazy last night and whipped up an easy marinade (balsamic vinegar, a little olive oil, crushed garlic, onion, crushed red pepper, dash of sugar and a little cracked pepper). It was good :drool: served it up with a spinach salad. :thumb:

Mmmm. Leave the steak mostly raw.

you guys have to ask -BB- for his rub recipe. He cooked some steak when I was there this past weekend - some of the best I've ever had.

Same for his Chicken wing marinade :drool:

Jeff is quite the cook!! :thumb:
