So don't use it. The whole point of having it is for those threads that seem to bug some people. Now those threads have their own forum but you are still compelled to look?

I love it, people in the DH threat complain about the FR types. FR types get their own forum and people come in here and bag on it. Actually other than the posts where people are making fun of the forum things look good to me.

Yeah I totally agree with you. This forum seems to be a great addition to this website. It really isn't like pinkbike.com at all. None of the "That bike is gay" type of stuff here.

Then why are you in here? Seriously, if you don't like it, don't look. This is why there is a DH and FR forum now.

I agree. I'll consider this a safe haven from Dominionists DW body guards, elitist BS regarding honest questions etc but I swear to god if anyone in this forum says anything along the lines of "well mine is custom tuned for my weight and riding style" I will find out who you are, tie your prostate to my bumper and silence you.

People who just ride their bikes in rough stuff and like to jump things without racing need a haven just as much as some of the d!cks in the DH forum.

I'll admit my comment might have come off wrong, but i looked over the forum, saw a bunch of supermonster jargon and got annoyed, im sure there will be quality threads in here.

and i wanted to say, im far from a boy racer DH elitist, only raced a couple times, im a rider like everyone else.

just delete this rm...

ok not to sound like an a$$ or anything, but if you were to tie my prostate to your bumper i dont think it would silence me.
just had to post it...

i don't really understand why there's such a (perceived) dichotomy between the freeride / dh groups. we all enjoy riding our bicycles off road. i get off on many aspects of the sport: dh, shore, park, dj, trail - its all good. the stereotyping & division of camps is silly. can't we all just be friends?

i suggest renaming the forum from

"super monsters and drops to flat belong here"
to
"supa monsterrs n d0rps 2 flat here"

If you dont like this new area for Freeride, then why in the hell do you come and look here you duma**es. I am very interested in DH and FR, so I look at both areas, but if you dont like the FR area dont come a knockin, stop being dicks and enjoy this great site. I have the feeling that this area is gonna become more like ( Pinkbike )...... people saying " Kona sucks, Norco rules" "No Norco sucks, Kona rules." If you really dont like the new FR area dont post here, that simple, please dont waste my time and others time by posting useless topics and post on how this area sucks. I think its a good addition to RM and I am happy to see it here.

This forum is alright. What really bugs me though, for some reason, is the amount of stuff in the DH forum (from people who only go in there) that really belongs in the lounge. Only half that forum is DH it seems and the rest is just general talk about who knows what.

Yeah I agree that a lot of content in the DH forum is not really DH anyway. I find people are more comfortable posting in a forum they're used with people they're used to talking to. I know if I had something to say that wasn't DH specific, I'd probably still post in the DH forum just because I'm used to posting there and no where else. I'm thinking that's what other people are thinking as well.

u know there was a similar problem in the thread 'I AM A POACHER..." (though that was slightly diffrent)

no worrys, everyone needs to just do there thing and let everyone else do theres, every person is a diffrent rider and really freerider incorporates every aspect of riding (ie 'free')

great new forum ridemonkey :thumb:
