Fox DHX 5.0/Gemini?

Does anyone have this set up? I just got off the phone with Fox a few min's ago, and they suggested ordering the shock and trying it out by removing the spring and cycling it through it's travel. All this makes sense, but it's alot of hassle if it doesn't work out.

It's for a friend of mine.... His bike is a '04 Gemini 900.

thanks for anyone's help, and pictures would be great, also the '06's are available and they have about a half inch shorter boost valve adjuster (big blue knob)..... This should help some I would think...

I know several people that have that shock on the Gemini DH frame but not the gemini regular-you need a 7.875 eye to eye with a 2.25 shock stroke.

yeah... the concern is with clearance, are the DH Frame and regular Gemini same shock size/mounting, from what I can tell the 170mm mount on the regular gemini looks very close to ths ame spot as the DH...

I think that might all mean that he'd lose the 150mm setting option...

The clearance should be fine but yeah, he may lose that shorter setting depending.
