It's got the Swinger 4-Way. None the less I'm pretty stoked to get it built. :D

You'll probably be be happy to hear that we had 3 Versus bikes out on our ride today. Two Warrior X's and one Blitz! They are awesome bikes.

What type of fork are they using?
Im going to go with the 66. It's seems like a great fork for the setup. :thumb:

One Weapon X had a Fox 40 and the other had a 888. The Blitz had a Fox 36.

I think Chris uses an 888 on his WeaponX.

Nice looking bike ya got there Billy. Tell me though; in the title of your thread you call it a freeride/trailbike. Are you thinking of doing any climbing on this bike, or are your trail rides all down hill? You got a heavy build there, and if you put a 66 on it, it will get heavier, and have a real slack head angle. I can tell you from experience [from having tried turning an ASX into a trailbike ] that it's a real stretch. So what's your definition of trailriding?

You might not like the 66rc on there, especially the 170mm version

I just got one[170mm] for my bullit, but it's all for going down trails, not up and down them.

If you're thinking about pedaling that beast uphill, you might think about changing out some components, like perhaps a Z1 Fr1 fork, and a longer and lighter stem. But that's just a suggestion based on not enough information.

I've been looking at this frame. Any updates since you've been riding it for a bit now?

The Bike is sick! I love it. My advice though is to go with the DHX option.
I have had nothing but problems with my Manitou 4-way. I think I will upgrade to the PUSHed DHX in a few months...

A pic of the finished product...
a few things have changed since these pics...

Race Face Diabolus Stem and a Titec Berserkr KCX DH Saddle...

It's a loooooooove seat. Those things are freakin' huge.

BTW, I settled on a Transition Preston FR. I spoke to Herb through email today and he was really helpful but nobody beats Transition's crash replacement policy and replacement pricing.

hey once you get the Transition, tell me how it handles and how it performs, im thinkin bout gettin a Transition. The fact they are a local company is a big plus.

I've always done big rides on my big bikes. Our trails have multiple mile climbs, and I rode my SGS in pisgah right before I broke it, double crown and all. I've never had any trouble, you can still climb big bikes. I'd say go for your build and ride everything on it, it wont excel at climbing, but you can certainly do it.
