Does anybody know anything about 2006 Range?

Will there be a New "Freerider" between Enduro FSR and Dmo 8????

Its kinda spooky, like how similar our times were at Firestone....well aside from the asshat wrecking in front of me :dead:

Yo Sean, we're planning a Mammoth/North* trip end of June, if you got any spare time it'll be a fun trip. (to further derrail the conversation ;))

I am actually moving back to SB on June 15th. Most likely a temporary move, possibly to end up in OR eventually but SB for the next li'l while. I'll hit you up when I get down and we can go do some Knapps runs, I miss that trail. :D

I am coming down for the Elings race too, are you?

Wow, you're talking about moving back, I didn't realize this soon though.

Yeah, I'll be at Ellings. I got to check out the course still. I've heard some 'interesting' things already, sounds like a beginner-killer but still a HT course.

Knapps....I wanna hit that up this weekend actually :D I wanna go FAST for a change and that's the place to do it.

I didn't realize the move was coming this fast either but some circumstances changed and this was the best decision for the time being.

I haven't even seen the Elings course this year but what the hey it'll be fun no matter what.

As far as riding Knapps this weekend, I HATE YOU :D

Nah, just kidding, I've been riding SC tons and the trails here are super fast and Knapps-ish. But I still want to do some major Knapps runs as soon as I get down there.

my e-speculation is that they will make the enduro sx trail more free-ridey

I can say that Fox has confirmed the DHX air in an 8.75x2.5" size with a custom eyelet dimension. Hmmm, the new Enduro is the only bike I know that uses that spec of shock.

A Specialized rep confirmed that there will be kits from fox for DHX on the Enduro on emptybeer:

Current DHX 5.0 will fit in the slack position, as long as it is the newer version with the recessed IFP filler valve. You will also have to get SX trail spherical spacers from SBC and should grind down one edge just a touch for a perfect fit. A little challenging, but it can be done

The best idea is to wait for Fox to deliver their complete Enduro aftermarket package which will include a shock that fits in both positions and the correct spacer.

I had been told that Fox tested the new Enduro and that a 8.75x2.75" shock would fit. However when I tested myself I found that with my shock compressed all the way there was very little clearance. I don't think Fox makes a DHX 5.0 in an 8.75x2.50" size so then I wonder what size DHX can be used? I checked out Straits bike at the SOC and the spring was a 2.80" stroke so I assumed it was for a 2.75" stroke shock. I wonder how they were running that stroke w/o bottoming into the frame?

EDIT: maybe they used a 9x2.75"? That would work but the geo would be steepened.

Won't they still have the Big Hit?

I'd say the sx trail is the mid travel FR bike. 6 and 6 is pretty mid range.
