are those barends on a riser? maybe its not the camera angle after all. That can't be comfortable?

Yeah, part of it is the camera angle. 28" 1.5" rise Azonic Doublewall's.

Yes they are on a riser bar. Yes they are very comfortable. When you are standing and pulling side to side you don't notice anything. Plus the bar ends are straight off the ends of the bars. They don't point outwards.

Wumpus has some bars that are like 28 or 29" on the Banshee.
