Fork resprays?

I know you can get a frame sprayed to the colour of your choice, and I was wondering - can you get forks to match? Is it possible to get front suspension resprayed if it's all dismantled etc, or would it go horribly pear-shaped?

actually respraying a fork is quite easy if you have the proper paint. First take off the fork and scracth away the paint with sand paper. then cover off every thing that you don't want painted by take real care around the seals

The stantions cannot be painted. The fork lowers can be. It's just like any other metal, it needs to stripped, primered, then put on your final coat.
