ok no pics. Tommorow I promise. I went out to hit the jumps and I can't. There is a back-o and streamers up to keep us out. It looks like they are doing a full rebuild with a smaller beginner section near the 'entrance' with the doubles being where the original park was. Its hard to figure out exactly where they are going with it (I will get pics maybe some of you who have built will recognize)

Its also looks like there is going to be sprinklers hooked up to keep everything damp. Looks pretty impressive.

Another thing, has anyone else heard about the lift assisted dj park on the mountain this year. Here is the quote

Whistler Blackcomb introduces the world's first lift accessed Dirt Jump facility. The Platter lift at mid-station on Whistler Mountain is like a conveyer belt for you and your bike, making it effortless to access more jumps in less time. The Kona Jump Farm is professionally designed by John Cowan, one of the best dirt jumpers in the world.

40-50 hits, long sets of rhythm flow and full progressions from small tables to huge gaps will add a new level of fun to the Park.

Man things just keep getting better, I have no excuse to suck at jumping anymore.

Definately looks like Cowans work. Perfect lips and trannies. I just didn't think it would include the jump park.

I might have to turn my shed in the back into a temp sleeping area haha Hmm I could fit 5 more people in somewhere. Between the loft, jacuzzi, hottub and shed, I think I could make room. Would be like a japanese tourist house. :)

Didn't get pics. They did too much work today. Its incredibly HUGE. I can't believe how big this park is gonna be. Didn't look like too much for beginners though.

Tommorow for sure...

If Cowan is making it then it's gonna be big. So what exactly are they doing? Did they make it bigger by taking up the space that was behind the roll-in? I love my few visits to Whistler each year. Can't wait.

Exactly. I am not 100% sure of what is going on. But it looks like they are creating the beginner section with a small rollin behind the original roll-in and the new roll-in is where the old rollin is. It looks HUGE if they leave it as is or even close.

The beginner section looks similar to the original section with small not as steep gaps (even a berm and a hip)...looks very impressive. They are using the "trials" logs that were in that spot to build up the jumps. Pics tommorow.

Is the jump park going to be open next weekend? I wasn't planning on going to Whistler cause I'm tired of being in a car driving all over the creation, but....

No they didn't have to move any walkway. That was essentially wasted space they moved the jumps into :)

No credit to me. Some guy on nsmb.com did. I was heading out to take the shots and went online and found these.

Worst part is some rich kids keep jumping them, there is a big sign saying "do not jump until complete"...I tell ya there just ain't no respect.

Didn't mean it like that. Simply refering to the whistler kids (commonly called "rich kids". hahaha. You read to much into my statement.
