When the xgames had DH bmx they were going above 40mph, (not sure the exact speed), and with only one wheel braking, and the wrong one at that, I wouldn't mind a disc.

It seems like tons of aussies run discs, luke madill notable among them on his Norco. The S-works 20 and 24" bikes were available with disc mounts 2 years ago, and there are others that i can think of, like Mtn Cycle that were running them way BITD.
