Hey Cool - a "new" event. I will keep checking the website for additional info...there isn't much there right now.

I raced it last year 12 Hour solo. Sweet venue, not much turnout, but it was their first year. I think I'll be doing it again this year, 24 solo. Are you guys gonna ever get the mythical "vids and pictures" up from last years race? ;)

The pit area is a field-type thing around a road...I have pics. Its held at the site of the 2002 Olympics XC skiing and biathalon, so there is a big building with bathrooms etc. The course starts with a jump onto singletrack, climbing up steeper switchbacks and stuff until you get to a long dirt, mellow road climb. get off the dirt road for a shorter and more mild singeltrack climb. When you hit the top, they had a truck with water, which was really nice. Looong technical singletrack descent (I lost time on the downhills in the night) until you hit a dirt road again. Another mild climb and then a short singletrack descent back down through the ski trails and to the pit area. Sorry about not having exact course distances...I didn't do it with a cyclocomputer. I think the course was 11 miles long with close to 2000 feet of climbing per lap.

Here's some pics:

Wow - very cool, thanks. That's some nice climbing for a 12 hour race. I'll have to see how my knee is doing by then, and what my schedule looks like. I like to go to different 12 hour races.

An update from the organizers...

Registration is currently open and ready to go. The course looks great and may only require a few tweaks to get it ready for race day. It is approximately 12 miles long with a mix of single track, fireroad and a great downhill and climbs about 1600 verticle feet from the Soldier Hollow venue to the top of the ridge overlooking Cascade Springs. The views from the top are spectacular.

We also have secured many of the same supporters as last year and we will be giving away some fantastic prizes, last year we were able to give away an ellsworth frame as well as a DiamondBack cruiser. This year we have added Patagonia and Timbuk2 in addition to the original sponsors.

We hope to see you at the race... make sure you register early to avoid any processing fees.
