what year? I have '03 I think and they fall down and are a bit sloppy with the velcro staps, not ideal, but I can't afford the new rockgardn's yet. Fox changed em right after I got mine, the new version looks like they added a above the knee strap. I can get mine to work most of the time just with some finese, but I'm scared of how they would hold up if I went down in just the right way and they didn't hold.

Get something with an exoskeleton.
Not to mention fox has never made anything other than dj pads that stay in place once you actually fall on them.
Check out the tld pads. I've done knee slides on those things on dirt jumps.
I have a pair and like 'em, maybe a bit too much material that can get you hot, and too many straps makes it confusing to put them on (considering you have to do the straps up in the correct order)... I'm happy with mine, but I haven't really used them hard (yet).
