Thanks guys. What sucks is that I have a brand new '04 silver DeeMax wheel set that won't fit on this bike because of the rear axel issue. Imagine how sick that would look! Stupid Mavic…god I wish they'd address this.

To bad it doesnt look like you can ride it 'cause of the snow. What is wrong with the Dee Maxx wheel set and the DHR?

DeeMax rear hub is 9mm, DHR is 12mm.

That bike looks fast and I am sure I will get a chance to see if its fast this year.

Only thing that looks a little strange is the stem and bar looks a little to high - is that the setup you like, is there something new on the way or is it just the picture makes it look high?

Where did you get a black spring for the Romic? Is it a Avalanche spring?

Hey man,

You can put on deemax. I have seen 2 differant DHR's with deemax.

I think what you need to do is modify the hub to accept the 10mm saint axle, then get a 10mm hadley thru axle and 20mm side reducers and run like a normal 12mm hub. Not 100% sure.

You might also be able to run the chris king fun bolts some how?

Cheers

-Matt

You bastid! How'd you get that fork already? Mine should be here soon.

That build looks very close to what I'm planning. Do you have a weight for us weightweenies?

:thumb: Nice set up...Friggan fork looks pretty massive on the DHR, I still can't believe how light they are.

Good eyes. I'm waiting on a Thompson stem…so I left the steerer tube a little long just in case.

It's the stock Romic spring. I spent a good amount of time stripping the red rubberized paint off of it, then put a light coat of black krylon over top. I couldn't stand the bright red.

No offical weight yet. I'm guessing it's around 43 lbs. The fork was purchased from the good guys at Go-ride.com They're absolutely the best people to deal with.

Anybody know what the deal is with DH40's and also DHR's. I have a medium DHR on order...still haven't gotten the call from Casey or anyone about its shipment. And have all DH40's been sent out for OEM and to shops.....will ep orders be shipping soon?

I just get the 2 week answer from all these guys everytime i speak to'em....getting sick of it.

T-

I was under the impression that our team's forks all shipped, but I only got confirmation for mine . :D

nixhexss-

Our team's DHRs were part of the first batch to come out of powdercoating - I expect that the other DHRs out of this first run of DHRs will be shipping soon (if not already). If Turner has your email from your EP order, you should be receiving an email from the shipping company as soon as it ships (UPS Quantum Mail).

For Fox - I don't know if all the OEM's/shops have gotten theirs yet... but the race teams are just now getting theirs I believe. It's always a waiting game neh? But I think it's worth it.

Good luck and I hope you get your frame/fork soon!

If plowing around in the snow (on flat) counts, then yes. So far, from what I've learned just by messing around with it, it's VERY easy to adjust and maintain. It feels buttery smooth, but again, a day on the mountain isn't the same as basements and parking lots.

Okay. So I ran FLEW down the Philadelphia Art Museum stairs a few times today. All I can say is the fork is total butter. Not only did it smooth everything out, it felt so freaking solid. VERY happy with the purchase.
