View Full Version : Capital Forest 20 Mile XC Loop 03/05/05

Meet at the Little Rock Chevron at 8:30 so that we can be at the Mimi Mounds horse dump (tailhead) by 9AM. The loop involves GL6 to Fall Creek and Mima/Porter/8 back. Depending on conditions and who participates this ride takes between 3 1/2 to 5 hours. There are several significant climbs but nothing that requires exceptional stamina.

Much fun and maybe some mud will be had by all!!! Bring food water and flareguns.

Who is in? I'll have two non monkey riders with me and XC Phantom will have a few too.

Yes ,but we might take the climb out instead of the sheman creek loop which isn't so nice when wet and sloppy. Are you riding???

Well... long story, none of us made it. We spent 4 1/2 hours riding every trail in Montesano - my ass was toast and the road bike still shines since I never rode it.

I think the Little Rock Chevron is about 3 miles in from I-5, you take the Maytown Exit and turn right to head west. You'll pass the Fat Farmer restaurant pretty quick so you'll know you are on the right road - its on all the maps. :thumb:

There will be only three in my group - everyone else I know wants to shuttle. :nuts:

I'll be riding. So will Colin. We will be leaving Oly at 8:15 or so so if your not t the chevron we will just book it to the mounds trail head.
