Brake Caliper Tech Question

I've got this Hope Mini caliper in the rear of my bike that's not cooperating. You see, I accidentally grabbed the lever when the rear wheel was off which compressed the pads. The pads now will not go back outwards. I've tried forcing the pistons to the outside with screwdrivers and stuff like that with no luck. Are there any suggestions out there?

from what i understand if it is an 'open' system such as the mono mini's you need to remove the pads from the caliper and then just push the pistons back. if it is a 'closed' system you need to back the pad adjustment all the way out and THEN pry them out

Thanks, man. I got it figured out. It had happened before and I was able to just push the pads back out. But this time, it took a great deal of force for some reason.
