how much was it to have a frame powder coated?

they charged me 80.00 I had to take the stickers off and stripe the frame of the componets. I think that is a good deal.

is powder coating when you have all those little nubs on your bike like on a wall, textured and stuff, because my bike is like that and i dont know what its called :confused:

i have it on my p.1, the only down side is it wont get clean by normal methods....
ps... use some of that powder cleaning stuff (bon ami/ ajax)

powder coating as a finish can look exactly like paint, just way more durable. It wont scratch, if anything you might get a couple small rock chips or something. It is a little heavier than paint but who cares. There are powders that are textures that can be applied, but most of it is just colors or transperents. I have a friend that runs a powder coating shop and he does a lot of dh frames for people, it turns out killer.
