I sure do appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into those bike...My shop pretty much has almost all top end Orbea frames and OMFG are they nice!!
On the wall they have all Orca frames hanging - they have a red, silver and orange, only missing the blue. Plus they have 1-2 fully built.
when i got there yesterday they were just finishing up a Lobular 50 in Pro Blue - had to be the most beautiful road bike I've seen in a long time! The paint is so simple yet so beautiful...almost made me want to get a road bike!! funny thing - Mike (Manager) had been restlessly trying to get me on a road bike (he's a big roadie). So every time he gets a new frame in, he gets it in my size ;)
pic don't do it justice.

Orbea is great stuff, but this is what gives me a woody...

Is that a Ti/CF? I'd say the only thing missing is the full Campy carbon, cranks & front der. Hell, if you're gonna dream, go big. What's a $500.00 set of carbon cranks when you're into it for damn near $7K already ;)

Sure that seven is nice, but I like the Merlin Cielo even better.

I'd rather it have some Ksyrium elites or another black wheelset, the white SLs look a bit out of place me thinks.
Maybe if the background wasn't so white I would change my mind. Makes the wheels look like they are, sort of, not even there.

Overpriced overwrought crap.
Give me a simple butted steel tubeset or a nice all aluminum bike ANY day. No point at all having a bike that is too expensive to crash and abuse. My favorite road bikes are Still my ancient Ritchey and my Caad7.
Every time I end up getting one of those fancy hybrid bikes from the team I can't wait to sell it off at the end of the year...

Agreed mixing the two is pointless, stupid imo. Stick with one of the two. :nopity:

I disagree. They both have unique properties and ride characteristics, so it makes sense to use one for one application/part of the bike, and the other for another.
Plus it is pretty trick, that never hurts...
