Depends on what he wants on the bike. Does he wanna start small and build the bike up because I was ganna say go for the new GT (haha) or maybe if the new Gary Fishcer's are cheap go with that. Or he could just get a P.1.

Haha, nice. You got a P.1 also. I am waiting for mine to come in. The sooner it does, the happier I am going to be until I have to pay for it. ahah

O yea I forgot about those. I was going to go with one of those because the Large has a 23" top tube. But then I just decided to go with a P.1. :thumb:

Yup. My friend has a P.1 but its a 2003 and it has a 21.5 TT. I didnt want to get a bike that small so I was going to buy a XL Steelhead. But that goodness I did some research and found out that the new Long P.1 have a longer top tube. That will save me a whole bunch on money. :blah:

Grab a Haro Backtrail X24 or DK General Lee 24", toss a 2.5/3" fork on it, a mountain bike stem and 2.5-3 inch riser bars. That's about the cheapest way to get a simple 24" and fairly strong urban /dj bike.
I was able to get a Haro for $200 and have an old '97 Z2 and bars and stem to do this. The geometry should end up being similar to most other smaller urban bikes out there.

find a cheap frame used and then go to bike shops, run it single speed, get an old marz dj, manitou black, etc etc or a cheap rigid fork for now
