I'm curious...seen these things around online, but have never known anyone who owns one, much less ridden one. Are they worth looking into as an alternate form of transmission? From what I've seen, they cost about a grand (give or take) but seem to eliminate the need for a cassette, rear derailer, and all that goes with it.

If there is anyone out there that has experiance with these, I'd love to hear from you.

You should do a search in the DH forum or possibly post this there. There are a couple people who have had them or currently have them.

yeah and you can get them for a lot less than 1000 bucks...here on RM, MTBR, Hcor and ebay as well....D
