Hi guys,

we’re a group of 4th year university students currently undertaking a Product Design project. As part of the project we have been approached by a company who believe that an opportunity exists to allow an easier method for cyclists and mountain bikers to take video clips whilst cycling in a safe and easy manner. The opportunity exists to either design a mount for a standard digital camera or a complete product encompassing camera and mount.

We would be interested to hear your views on such a product and if it is something that would interest you. Also if you could complete our short questionnaire that would be greatly appreciated it should take less than 4 minutes.

To complete the survey please go to www.advancedsurvey.com and enter 21603 in the Take a Survey box on the right hand side.

Many Thanks,
Ed, Nicol and Murdo

You have looked into helmet cams, right? They fit all the criteria you have and have been on the market for a while.

Yeah, I took their survey. I do not know if they are designing something of any value (all I could picture is a bracket on your handlebars, clamped over an old tube), or is some type of BS marketing survey.

Reading RM is way more valuable market research.

Its seems as if the best way to go these days is a lipstick cam mounted somewhere one the bike, while wearing the videocam in your camel back... I dont like the idea of mounting a digital camera to the bars.
