Now that I've said that, if you believe that Anna Nicole, Paris Hilton, Jessica or Ashlee Simpson are representative of the actual intelligance of the average US citizen then you certainly do belong glued to your television watching that rubbish. As broadcast television programming continues along it's downward spiral the majority of metally capable americans are turning to other forms of prime time entertainment, the internet, video game consoles (the 20-30 year old bracket is keeping this going strong,) hobbies, home repair, working out, etc. Only the unintelligent give the television any attention in this day and age. If you actually think Bush's relection was any worse than if Kerry had been elected then you certainly are the zombie Hollywood has made you.

By that equation you showed, it's a percentage number. But that IQ number range can exceed 100(%) can it not? And if you're below 100, that means your Physical age is greater than your Cognitive age, correct? From my research of cognitive sciences, declination of cognitive abilities doesn't start until, at the earliest, age 55, and it declines at a rate of around 15%/10 years in the worst case (genetics, disease, injury, ect). So, if the average IQ number for the nation (meaning if yours is 125 and I'm 123, our average is 124) is 100, and say 1/2 of the nation is at 125, then to get the 100 average IQ level, doesn't the other half need to be at 75? I'm pretty sure 125 is biased to the high side so perhaps fewer in that range. Therefore baring age and disease and ect, what's left is a good percentage of the nations population just at or a bit below the 100(%) mark to offset those in the above average IQ group. I don't want to say they're stupid, but maybe uneducated as education has been shown to rewire the brain to produce denser neuro-net by creating more connections.
You're right, my original statement was off. But did you really want to read the above for an off-the-hip comment? Also, that IQ of 100 I think falls into what considered a "low" IQ score, hence the off-the-hip comment.

As for Bush vs. Kerry, you're right, they both sucked hairy donkey balls. Buuut, we've seen how bad Bush was. There was a really good quote: "When choosing the lesser of two evils, I choose the one I haven't seen yet." This is where the Bush re-election comment came from. Plus if we are considering majority sentiments, then when 90% of this WORLD hates someone, shouldn't we at least throw that into the mix?

Kerry was not an ideal candidate but thanks to Bush now WE need a "regime change" to regain some credibility in the international community. Iraq is a huge clusterf!ck and more americans are dying every day. By moving forward independently and preemptively, Bush permanently hurt our standing on a global scale and made it incredibly hard for any other country to side with us. Especially anyone in or near the middle east.

And please don't tell me we need to be there to protect democracy. Yeah Saddam was bad, well there are lots of other bad people out there too. With all the different parts of the world that don't have democracy or basic human rights, somehow we end up fighting in Iraq. Bush cherry-picked Iraq because many of his (and his friends') businesses are tied to oil one way or another, and because he wants his mommy's and daddy's approval. It's a sad and corrupt freudian drama that might be funny if it wasn't being carried out on a global scale and costing lives.

We had an opportunity in November to show the world how democracy works, and we blew it. I am ashamed for this country that so many people voted for Bush.
