last night i've buid a tensionner with old parts from parts bin...
1 norco vps linkage plate
1 derailleur bold
some old shock reducers
1 mrp roller
bolts and spacers...
the chain line is ajusted via the allen bolt, the linkage plate slides on the old reducer..

Does it work with single speed setups? It has always been a dream of mine to set up a bulletproof single speed bike with 24/36/bash Profiles. There was never a way of switching between chainrings on the fly w/o a tensioner. I would love to have a bike with no rear derailleur to rip off but with Low and High gearing options via front derailleur and chainrings.

Here are the pics...
the tie wrap make the proper tension.
I know the bike in the pics got horizontal dropouts, I only used that bike to check the setup...the tensionner will be setup on my Gf's kona scab with vertical dropouts
