"11mm" Compression Rod bolt on Manitou Shermans

i've tried 3 different 11mm sockets on this bolt (bottom of left leg on Sherman), and none fit. the manual says it's an 11mm. are these 3 sockets wrong, or what? is it some SAE measurement, rather than metric?

well...seems i was sold a 2003 fork, when i thougt it was a 2004.

Try 7/16".

that's what it was. i was looking at a 2004 manual, which says 11mm. in 2003, it was 7/16th.

They're practically the same..

11mm = .43307 in

7/16 in = .4375 in

Just 4.43 mils difference.

Try warming the socket up in your pocket. :D
