Okay, for everyone's pleasure we've decided to can our weekly 8-noon Saturday mtb practice/race. Instead starting this Saturday we will integrate the 4x racing in with the BMX race.

So you'll have your 4x moto mixed in at the end of the BMX motos. Format is still going to be 3 motos, and them single elimination semis and finals. Still a cash payback. As a benefit this means you can race cruiser as well.
Since we are racing directly with the NBL races we are going to have to start requiring full-face helmets and long sleeves. Not too big of a sacrifice.

SO think about it, later start, same racing, more spectators, I think it's going to work out for everyone.

In conclusion;
Saturdays
Practice runs from 1:30-4:00
Racing begins at 4
All mtb racers get a free NBL trial license
Pants, longsleeve shirt and full face required
Mtb race $15, Cruiser $10 for points, $15 for trophy

My boy Marc Sullivan was down there this past weekend racing 4X I believe. I'll have to ask him how it went!

Marc managed to rip his pedal out of his crank arm in his second moto, poor guy.

I'm insanely jealous, indoor BMX racing... then I realised, we have great weather all year 'round, and no need for such a thing here :D
But it's good to see MTB'ers joining in with BMX races and getting a ride in, hopefully that can happen more often, and might get cross pollination between the sports.
