Is it possible to convert boxxer 2004 race into air sprung version? can the seals take the air pressure, or will they blow? I was planning on removing the springs and the plastic spacers holding the springs. The air valves i´m going to attach to the top caps by machining holes on to them.

DO A SEARCH!!!
and you will find out what a bad idea it is.

Searched, and didn´t find anything useful.

I already did it... Seems to work fine. I have a yellow spring on the other side, and air valve on the the other. The spring weighs 230gr, so I got at that much shaved off. I´m still trying to find the right air pressure and oil height for it to work optimally.

The topic has come up many times before and the message has always been that it is not worth trying. It will hold air for awhile, but will quickly blow the seals. Boxxers are not known as having the most durable seals under normal conditions, and increased pressure will wear them even faster.
Other than to drop a couple of ounces, is there any reason to try air?
